Only that owl's not nasty, chuu, just... minding her business. eue
Hello again, my potential minions! It is I, Paws, at long last. My internet is limited, and my hamsters can run only for so long to support the backup wifi generator - contraband stole mu interwebs, chuu! But, just for you, Paws brings previews of new area! Be thankful, chuu - I could have used this limited interwebs tine to download porn, but here I am, providing you goodies, chuu. Without further ado, behold - DEEPWOODS!
Deepwoods is a moderately big, singular - mostly - area appearing similar to a simple maze. Inside of it, you'll find various lagomorphs, some snakes, wolves, and something that escaped from my breeding pen - a Screamer. Besides that, deepwoods is where harpies go to sleep at night, and during nighttime you can slam smaller trees in hopes of a sleeping harpy falling off, chuu. Not all harpies sleep at night, chuu... there is a strong, nocturnal harpy living there, too. Besides that, there is a rare chance of spotting a Stag monster there outside the hunting event, And, another pet for you to tame - the Feral Jackalope!
Unlocked with a small quest, there's Lagomorph village - Underhills, where the bunnies in the area come from. It has a farmhouse, a healer hut, chef's place, trader, and a place for fighter bunnies to rest. In the middle of the village at night, bunnies start fires, and have good old hippie parties, chuu! In the village, nobody should attack you, but still offer plenty of bunny action. Maybe in the future, we could make that bunnies would be treating you better if you're on good terms with them...
Bunnies live in burrows, and there are some lagomorph NPCs that you'll be able to watch interact with one another, Like healer and her apprentice, or trader's wives rivaling for his favors, or mischief that baby bunnies at the farm might cause. Now when I think of it, if you'll be able to fuck with bunny NPCs might be based on whenever you have good enough relations with the tribe, chuu...
Lastly, I'll inform you, that deepwoods will house another romance-able NPC - an unicorn femboy called Rusk. He'll be a lovely little nerd you'll have to spot three times in order o unlock access to his house... but, you know what the legends say - only the pure will see the unicorn, chuu...
So! Next time you'll hear from me, I should have a stable internet connection again, chuu. It should be some monster design sheets then, too - so you can have some variation from usual maps and maps, chuu. Maybe I'll even show you some of the design goodies from the speci- OH NO NOODLES, DON'T FAINT, CHUU, DON'T FAINT, I'M ALMOST DONE SHOWING THEM STUFFS, DON'T STOP RUNNI-

New stuff, new stuff and more new stuff.
ReplyDeleteYou guys must be pretty busy, huh?
Only not in that way. Unless that way is on the game. Not "that" that way. I'll just move on to another subject.
New areas are always welcome, and we have one more planned pet.
I wonder, will that one wolf Tenshi got become a pet too? And with all this "monsters" stuff, we're talking about Monster Hunter or Raidy? (if ya know what I mean).
Also, I see something shiny around the post. Metaphorically, I mean. Unless it's about the screen's glow, in which ca- *ahem* Back on topic. I wonder if that is a pure coincidence or some kind of corrupted plan to gather our attention. *wink* *wink*
I don't really have a suggestion aside from a female Silver. I don't see anything about a genderswapped him, only Tomoko and Verdona, and that whole "resistant" stuff seems like a cop-out to me. Is this about his topless tendencies? Or is it racism towards his possible demonic heritage (black sclera)? If that is so, I shall fling Miko's cupcakes at you guys and them throw you inside Elle's basement. Ricardo needs some company down there too, y'know? Or was it Fernando? I don't keep track of other people's *ahem* "basement companions".
Possible righteous punishment plans aside, this is a pretty good job. I'd make the colors darker (dark green instead of light green), take out the maze and simply place many and many identical trees around with a few clearings like an actual deepforest, but that's probably just me. I'm also not sure if that's possible with RPG Maker.
Now I'll go back to the planning phase of the Anti-Poutry Resistance. Nekomatic showed me the flaws in my original plan to combat the turkeys, they can make alliances with other poultries! Still, nobody believes me when I say they'll rise. But I digress, my main problem is as such: should the base be on the face of a cliff or undergroung? So many possibilities...
My favorite potential minion! Oh, we're pretty "busy" in every way imaginable, chuu. eue
DeleteI'm currently angry at monster hunter, chuu. Yuan-Ti is an asshole, chuu. So that's a matter to talk about with Nekomama.
Paws may or may not use less than fair magics to harvest praise and gather minions, chuu.
Silver's owner specifically said Silver won't get a genderbend, chuu. Something about his blood resisting magic and potions altering his form, chuu. And furbutt is, indeed not all he seems in the heritage, chuu... eue
I might update the map later into something along the lines, but for now, this will have to do. I lost my tilesets somewhere in the mess, and with current hamster-powered internet can't re-find and download them, chuu. ;w; That's why the deepwoods map looks like it does. Other thing is, it was kind of supposed to be an area with old, tall trees, shady... and, making the paths is hard. Either I use a blocking collider thingies on the sides, and make it look monotonous and eyesore, or try to fiddle with a mass of blocking events to block the bad paths... But, Forest will take a lot of work. =w="
Go, go my valiant minion! Fight the turkey regime!
To be blunt: BloodlustSilver, creator of the character Silver, specifically requested there to not be a genderbend of Silver for various reasons. The tidbit about demonic blood being immune to the changes is a nicer sounding cover. However, alternatives are still being discussed, as it is weird to have one character NOT have the changes at all. So there very well COULD be genderbent Silver (Or Sylvia as I would imagine...) in the future, it isnt something I can promise.
DeleteOn a side note: I would go for the underground base. Those damn birds can be dangerously crafty, and an underground base would be harder to infiltrate.
DeletePaws,
ReplyDeleteThis is the Wiki minion of Neko's, could i please impose on you to do a world map with broad stokes for the Wiki nothing too fancy just the areas names.
Of course, chuu! That would be my pleasure. As soon as my hamster can run again to power the wifi generator, I'll put it up for you to use, chuu.
DeleteIs there an ETA to the next official update of the game? Seeing these nice and shiny new areas makes me want to explore them. I'm not suggesting you rush it though. I would rather the update be done right than rushed. I just wondered if it was a month or two off to sort of have an idea.
ReplyDeleteNekomama wants pu put at least one fully genderbent character into the game, but is aiming at three in next release. I assume over a month, chuu, if life will stop being so damn mean on her end, chuu. If not... brace yourselves.
DeleteYeah. Area building , artwork, and coding all take time to get right. It's good to know, thanks.
DeleteNew area with all the sub areas take up a week of my time, chuu - if I do nothing else during that time, that is. Longer if there are quests that need being written out, chuu. But Nekomama needs more time, since she does the advanced scripting and artwork, chuu.
DeleteOne advice - to keep file sizes small, you can divide the game into 2 files.
ReplyDeleteone a main resource file which holds stuff that won't change or is unlikely to change - music, art, etc..
That way the only file that needs to be re-download with each new version would be the main file.
...
Also, how do you change the NPC (that reaper apprentice girl who's futa scene was supposedly in)?
I got the potion and it works on me, but only on me.
Also, also; more girls is always nice.
Miko. Also, please clarify what you mean by 'change' her? Use potions on her? To do that, you have her join as a follower and then select the potion. When prompted, select 'use on follower' and use it on her.
DeleteNot a bad idea for the files...
Thanks, I did that, but then the below problem appears.
DeleteFollowers removed from the party dissapear entirely (not in their usual locations even after several days).
Yeah...
DeleteThe entire system for that has been more of an issue than a perk to me. So I have fixed this for 2.14 so it's impossible to quick-remove the npcs, you will have to walk over their original spots.
One bug - it seems that adding people to the party may cause them to dissapear when removed from the party.
ReplyDeleteTaking Ellie into the party and removing her, causes visits to the hospital to crash
That should be fixed in 2.14
