Fixing, Fixing, Fixing...

Yep! It's that time again, already...Bug fixing time!

Although, there were very few reported so far, so most of this is nit picking details on my end, attempting to make everything hold together better. That, or just seem overall more organized. I will be lurking around here, waiting for new reports and errors to come in so I can release a hotfix that has enough changes in it. And while that goes on, I will be either drawing out scene ideas or working on another in-progress feature. Also, here is a very small fact sketch I made for the hell of it.
This might be something Paws and I do every now and then, to keep things interesting on the blog.

Update: More bug reports coming in, trying to collect details on some and fixing up others. I'm pleasantly surprised by the number and magnitude of them so far. No uber game smashers yet, just ones that get in the way for the most part. Got a decent change-log growing here~

Aaaaaaaand with that, it is time for bed. Tomorrow is a new day for error fixing and comments~

  4. the only two bugs I found are:
1- I'm stuck with my party members, I can't get rid of them.
2- the same thing that killer12 said, the beach trip conversation just keep looping

You probably already know about those two bugs, but still wanted to do my part in helping this awesome game! :)

    1. 1 - Simply walk across the tile that said npc was at, or at the tile they are supposed to be at on that day and they will exit the party. With this noted, I will be adding a quick 'evict' option in the game to make this easier.

2 - This one is the most commonly mentioned, don't worry about it as it has been patched.

Thanks for the help ^ ^

Wait. If Nekomatic doesn't have cat ears, and she likes to wear cat ears, does wearing them make her Neko Nekomatic?
Heh, Neko Neko... wait, that's not why I'm commenting!

Seems like I lost some updates. "Features on Test" list, Paws entering the blogspot comment fray, the 2.0 release...
*sigh* I should stay on the computer more often instead of doing overall productive activities.

I would use some paragraphs to say how the game honestly looks amazing right now, but since I'm the suggestion guy, time to suggest! Today I only got 1 idea that looks good. I may be a little bit biased, though.

You guys commented about how corruption may force a bad ending. Honestly, that may be a bad idea for a game that is (apparently) semi-open-ended. Unless, of course, that's not what you guys are going for.
Maybe you could do some kind of "corruption meter" and ways of purifying Izuna. In that case, Corrupted Izuna would have extra skills and choices, although not necessarily evil choices since, for example, there are some non-evil things you can do with a tail. *wink* *wink*
I that case, it would be necessary to either give Corrupted Izuna some kind of drawback, or make a Pure Izuna on the other side of the meter. She wouldn't really need to look any different from normal Izuna, only maybe happier/caring facial expressions.

Welp, that's about it. Any idea I try to create right now will inevitably end up being about Miko. By the way, I never got the whole answer about the "more playable characters" concept. I'm just curious about the chances of playing as our resident Tax-Free Cleaning Staff.
Yeah, I'm totally considering her that now. Thanks, Paws!

That's about it. Keep up the good work, people, good luck with facing whatever problem you guys may find and watch out for any turkey ploting a rebellion. They always seemed suspicious to me. *glares at turkey picture*

    1. Well, if I could alter my physical form in any way that I wish, you can bet I would give myself functional cat ears. Then I would just be Nekomatic. Neko Nekomatic is cool too, though.

Actually, there is a purification item in the game files, just not added yet for lack of real 'use'. Eve will eventually sell a purity charm, which hacks off a portion of corruption points every night upon sleeping. This charm is very pricey, as it is an eternal auto-use item as long as it is in your items.

These ideas are worth considering, especially the meter. This gives me a better idea of how to go about with the corruption/purity system.

She isn't going to the docks every Monday night to stare at the scenery...

Turkeys should never be trusted, nor any type of poultry for that matter...

  6. Oh, if you're fixing bugs I think I've got a couple. The medical dictionary and medical box appear to do absolutely nothing but vanish from my inventory on use. I get no recipe items or skills. Those are needed to actually get promoted in the hospital job, right?

    1. The medical box actually gives you starter-rank skills for the hospital job branch. This is because I still haven't found a satisfactory way of learning those skills naturally yet. And the medical dictionary teaches you Medicine I.
