Updates
While Paws is busy designing the maps and getting everything visually perfected, I am setting up all the base systems at once, trying to tie them into a neater bundle than the last. Since this is from scratch, organizing it will be less of a hellish nightmare and everything will be easier to mesh. After getting the system bits and maps done, we will be drafting new NPC designs. We wanted to save the fun bits after the core was done, as to not get too distracted.
We have been reading some comments, and changes have been made according to them. For example, the bulky HUD is now half the size it was in the demo, and of course the needs decay has been toned down to fit the actual pace of the game. Certain bugs in the demo, such as the key and hunger meter issues, have been noted. This system has been altered in the actual game, so it should be working now. The cooking system is FULLY finished, so we nipped that down fast. Other similar systems are still in the making, given their ties to other core game bits.
There are probably going to be minor changes done to some of the player expressions. Also, the player's base outfit will be different in the actual game, and Lucy has hers finished as of now. Lucas still needs his to be designed. A lot of the same systems have been put into the game, including the menstrual and weather systems. Similar to the needs HUD, I am playing around with menu settings to see if I can make certain systems more accessible or easily examined, but I won't say anything else on this unless I can get it to work.
Long story short, we are preparing for the exciting parts of the game by getting the important parts set up first. With that, there's not a lot of previews to show you yet, but if Paws is feeling particularly generous, she may have some map samples soon for all of you.
So......no new version for atleast until few months later, got it.

Yeah, pretty much. But it will prove rewarding in the end. Stable foundations are a blessing when it comes to adding new content.
DeleteHello there, I just found this game and have no knowledge about the original game. So I'm asking questions without knowing anything about your plans and boundries. Please tell me your stance or even just if it has already been answered in an older post.
ReplyDeleteI did already read some of the comments but haven't really found an answer yet as to whether or not you will ever add a possibility to seduce the mother Nora.
I get that she's supposed to be a prude and all but it would still seem like an enormous waste of potential to me, were you not to add an incest story line to the game.
It would obviously be a very long and risky process but I think it could still be done.
For example, getting caught masturbating would make her punish you at first but should it happen multiple times, intentionally or not, she could start getting used to it, until she no longer sees the point in punishing you, as she realizes you'd masturbate anyway.
Once Nora is 'corrupted' enough she'd no longer get a heart attacks if she sees the player engaging in deprived acts.
Other ideas I'd like to mention could be:
- Stealing and playing with Nora's underwear, with her finding it while cleaning and interrogating the player
- Masturbating on her bed, possibly leaving behind some type of evidence in the form of stains or just slight wrinkled bedcovers
- Spying on her in the bath, shower or maybe even the toilet
- Molesting her at night, possibly early on with use of narcotics and aphrodisiacs
With most of these she'd be furious at first, before finally accepting it. Considering the player would be her child, there's little chance of her ever doing something too drastic, as she seems like a very caring mother to me. Her love for the player would allow us to constantly stretch her boundries so she reacts a little less harsh every time.
If you start with the least lewd actions and end with the truly perverted ones it would appear like a nice linear progession.
She could at some point start having some formely hidden lewd thoughts herself, which would then allow the player to catch her masturbating or something similiar.
Everything develops even more until the player can finally enter an actual incestous relationship with her.
Overcoming her commitment to her dead husband would need to be a big point withing this relationship, but I think this could work out great.
As I said my knowledge about your project is very limited and I'd appreciate you explaining your stance regarding this topic.
Or if some other user could do it instead it'd also be highly appreciated.
Whatever the answer should happen to be, I wish you succeed in creating the game however you envisioned. I would gladly support its development and would be estactic should my own wishes be heard and perhaps even realized.

DeleteI'm glad to see the cooking system making it to the new Collars. A minor thought, have you thought doing opposites? Like modern medicine vs alchemy or mass produced food pills vs home made food.

There will be some premade food available for purchase, but in the end, it will be more rewarding to put on the apron and polish up your skills, because great food made at home is more logical to have than spending fortune on expensive high quality meals in the restaurant.

ReplyDeleteIt may be a while, since we want to be 100% sure we are at least 97% satisfied with the core before building other things on it. Stable foundations though will make all the future updates much faster!

ReplyDeleteI've been following this project with enthusiasm for a while, enthusiasm that's doubled since I undertook my own attempt at RPGmaker. I'm delighted to see that its being worked on, and am looking forward to it's development. Are you planning for a Patreon campaign?
ReplyDeleteThinking about it, since we settled on the remake, and honestly, it may just happen once we finish off the core of the game, since then we'll be able to offer fun patreon rewards.
