Good News, Everyone!

Mind the Farnsworth quote, but I wanted to save this announcement for after an update got patched and released, but the Collars team will be completely scrapping the current 'day' system in the game. It was one of the first systems I mapped out to run the game on, and over time it has become really dated. It's a pretty bland and otherwise old feature that needs a remodel. I wanted to wait until the next update because this will be a pretty tedious overhaul, and the next update might not contain much additional content after this.

I'd like to give you guys a good idea what the new system will bring: 

1 - Seasons. This will add some variety to the game, as well as event opportunities. Crops in town will change depending on the seasons.

2 - Better Calendar system. Npcs will have weekly schedules, this will reflect better on their personalities and story development.

3 - New features tied in better. Honestly, my old system was not compatible with some things that I would have really liked to have linked into the game. This new one will tie neatly in with everything.

4 - Limit breaking. You could only get up to day 99 in my old system. This one will loop over.

 

Hopefully, the remodeling goes well. If it does, it will improve the game greatly and I know you guys will like it.

    This new calender system is perfect for a sandbox game like this.
    Let us know when you need to playtest the new features.
